48V LiFePO₄ Kit · Victron MultiPlus-II 5000 · RV & Mobile Ready
10.24kWh of Battery Storage Paired With a Victron 5,000VA Inverter
This kit pairs two 48V HUSKY2 5.12kWh LiFePO₄ batteries (10.24kWh total) with a Victron MultiPlus-II 5,000VA inverter/charger and a Cerbo GX monitoring device — a step up in both capacity and power from the smaller 3,000VA version, still built for RVs, larger mobile setups, cabins, and off-grid or backup power. Victron’s PowerAssist technology lets the batteries supplement limited shore power or a generator instead of tripping a breaker, and the whole system reports back over Victron’s VRM monitoring app.

What Makes This Kit Different
10.24kWh, Two Batteries
Two HUSKY2 Tier-1 LiFePO₄ batteries combine for 10.24kWh, each rated for 7,500W max continuous power and 150A peak discharge.
5,000VA / 4,000W Continuous
Rated 5,000VA (4,000W at 25°C) with 9,000W of peak power for motor starts and other brief surges.
PowerAssist Technology
When shore power or a generator can’t cover a load spike, the batteries fill the gap automatically instead of tripping a breaker.
<20ms No-Break Transfer
Switches to battery power fast enough that computers and other sensitive electronics keep running through a grid drop.
IP65 Battery, Self-Heating
The battery is dust- and splash-resistant with an internal heater for reliable charging in cold weather.
Cerbo GX Remote Monitoring
Track and adjust the whole system from anywhere through Victron’s free VRM portal and mobile app.
Parallels Up to 6 Units
Six units combine for up to 30kVA of output with 420A of charging capacity, or split-phase and 3-phase configurations with fewer units.
Vibration-Resistant Build
Built to hold up to the bumps and vibration of mobile and vehicle-based installations, not just stationary ones.
A Step Up in Both Capacity and Power
This kit scales up from BigBattery’s smaller HUSKY2 + Victron kit on both fronts: two 5.12kWh batteries (10.24kWh combined) paired with a 5,000VA Victron inverter/charger, rather than one battery and a 3,000VA unit. It still leans toward mobile and off-grid applications — RVs, larger vans, cabins, backup power — rather than whole-home solar, and the Victron MultiPlus-II still has no built-in solar charge controller of its own; it pairs with a separate MPPT solar controller if you want panels feeding the batteries.
PowerAssist is the standout feature carried over from the smaller kit: when shore power or a generator can’t quite cover a load spike, the batteries fill the gap automatically instead of the breaker tripping — and with 4,000W of continuous headroom this time, that spike can be larger. Pair that with a Cerbo GX for remote monitoring over Victron’s VRM app, and the whole system stays visible and controllable from a phone, whether you’re parked in a driveway or off the grid entirely.

Common Questions
Does this kit include solar charging?
No — the Victron MultiPlus-II in this kit is an inverter/charger without a built-in MPPT solar controller. If you want solar panels charging the batteries, you’ll need to add a separate MPPT solar charge controller; the MultiPlus-II is designed to work alongside one.
What does PowerAssist actually do?
It lets the batteries supplement AC input that’s running near its limit — shore power or a generator, for example — so a brief load spike doesn’t trip a breaker or overload the source. When the load drops back down, any spare power goes toward recharging the batteries.
What’s the Cerbo GX for?
It’s Victron’s monitoring and control device for the system. Connected to the internet, it gives free remote access through Victron’s VRM portal and mobile app, so you can check status or adjust settings from anywhere.
Is this really meant for RVs and vans?
Yes — the batteries’ vibration-resistant construction and the whole kit’s compact footprint are specifically suited to mobile installations, on top of working just as well for stationary off-grid or backup use.
Can I connect more than one inverter?
Yes — up to 6 units can run in parallel for more combined power, 2 units can be configured for 240V split-phase output, and 3 units can be configured for three-phase.
What’s the warranty on this system?
The HUSKY2 battery carries a 12-year manufacturer’s warranty and the Victron MultiPlus-II carries a 5-year manufacturer’s warranty — two separate coverage periods for the two components.
Do I need a licensed electrician to install it?
Given the voltages and currents involved, installation should be handled by a qualified, licensed electrician or installer familiar with your local code requirements — especially for vehicle-based or marine installations, which often have their own separate code considerations.
