The enclosure is rated from 14°F to 131°F, derating only once temperatures climb past 113°F, and bottom-entry wiring keeps the install straightforward for whoever ends up running conduit. Layered protection against over-voltage, over-current, short circuits, and heat buildup is built in, so a fault trips a safe shutdown instead of taking the rest of the system down with it.

Common Questions
Will the APEX-10K run my entire house?
It depends on your total connected load. At 10,000W continuous (20,000VA surge) it comfortably covers most single-family homes running efficient appliances, but a full load calculation is worth doing before sizing your system — especially if you’re running well pumps, electric heat, or large HVAC compressors at the same time.
Can I connect solar and a generator at the same time?
Not simultaneously. Solar charging runs independently, but the APEX-10K has a single AC input shared between grid and generator, so it draws from one or the other, not both together. (The smaller APEX-6.5K has two separate AC inputs instead.)
What batteries does it work with?
Any 48V lithium battery bank works as a general-purpose battery. Full closed-loop communication is supported with BigBattery NEXUS, ETHOS, and HUSKY2 INV, plus EG4’s 280Ah and 314Ah packs.
Can it be installed outdoors?
No — it’s rated IP20, meaning indoor or fully enclosed installation only, such as a garage, utility room, or dedicated power shed.
Can I connect more than one unit?
Yes, up to six units can be paralleled together, and three or more can be configured to produce a three-phase output for larger installations.
Do I need a licensed electrician to install it?
Given the voltages and currents involved, installation should be handled by a qualified, licensed electrician or solar installer familiar with your local code requirements.
